Missing since Sunday A.M., 12/28/2025 while in the care of a dog sitter from Highland Park with ties to Battle Creek, Michigan near the Oak Hill Cemetery neighborhood. Our dog's name is Reiko (Rāy-co). If she doesn’t come to you, please don’t chase her, take a photo and call!

Key Details
Reiko is a Havanese dog and is two years old. She was last seen on December 28, 2025 while in the care of a dog sitter who stated Reiko escaped from her care on the cross streets of South Street and Dickman Road in Battle Creek. However, the details behind Reiko's disappearance are suspicious and the story and the evidence cannot be reconciled. The sitter has since quit cooperating or communicating with us. Therefore, we need the public's help.
Because of conflicting information, Reiko could have also escaped in Highland Park near the Cross Streets of Monterey Street and 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Detroit. The sitter drives an electric blue Ford Fusion and is the last known person to have seen Reiko.
At this point, she could either be hidden, rehomed, or already sold. Please be aware of neighbors with barking dogs that are never let out or walked. Please also be on the lookout for resale or rehoming sites in Michigan or beyond for high end dogs, especially Havanese sites. Reiko is chipped and has been reported missing.
We have already reported Reiko missing to the authorities. We have also contacted vets, shelters, and local businesses. We have also posted on local and statewide social media sites for Battle Creek, Detroit, Michigan, and beyond.
Finally, the most important goal is Reiko's safe return. That is why we are offering a $2,500 reward with NO QUESTIONS ASKED. This includes anonymous tips and information leading to her safe return.
Reiko is deeply loved by her family and has never been away from home like this before. We pray for her safe return. Thank you to the community for all your support, help, sleuthing, and love. We have faith that one day soon, Love will bring Reiko home!
